Dead Island 2 fans will have something to celebrate soon, as the game's release date has increased by one week. Developer Dambuster Studios and publisher Deep Silver recently announced that the zombie-slaying action-adventure title is now set for an April 21 launch instead of April 28. This news comes months after the original February 3 release date was postponed due to development issues.

The move also means that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor won't be launching on the same day as Dead Island 2 anymore, as it was delayed from its original March 17th launch window to April 28th. Fans were first introduced to Dead Island 2 back in 2014 during E3, where Yager initially developed it before Sumo Digital took over and then finally handed it off to Dambuster in 2019 – who gave us a good look at what we can expect from this zombie-filled sequel during Gamescom 2022 earlier this year.

As far as what players can expect from Dead Island 2, they'll be exploring a post-apocalyptic open world set in California with four different protagonists - each with their unique abilities - while fighting against hordes of undead monsters using melee weapons and firearms alike. In addition, there are multiple online multiplayer modes for those looking for co-op fun with friends or random people online.

With a vast map filled with activities ranging from side quests to leisurely activities such as ATV riding or jet skiing that complement the main story missions, players should expect plenty of content to keep them busy without exhausting new activities or discoveries in each playthrough. So no two experiences should be alike, providing longevity for those who delve deeper into this post-apocalyptic adventure.

Overall, fans of games such as Dying Light and Left 4 Dead should keep an eye out for this upcoming sequel when it launches next month on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5/4/5 Pro/4 Pro systems, Xbox Series X|S/One consoles plus Google Stadia platforms worldwide on April 21st, 2023!

So if you’ve been itching to dive into a post-apocalyptic world filled with zombies since hearing about Dead Island 2 all those years ago, then you're in luck! The wait is almost over, and you’ll get your chance sooner than expected!
